 Salt! It is still produced on Bonaire and these stunning salt beds of “Pekelmeer” are also home to one of the hemisphere's great populations of flamingoes. Bonaire has been called many things: Best Kept Secret, Unhurried, Unspoiled, Unforgettable; Diver’s Paradise and the list goes on...

Bonaire has the reputation of being laid back, slow paced and tranquil. Whilst this is true, the island also offers a lively nightlife and world class Restaurants. When you first come to the island, you are a visitor, but when you leave, you are definitely a friend. Bonaire is 24 miles long (38.6 km) and 3-5 miles (4.8 -8 km) wide, 112 sq. miles (180 sq. km) in area. “Klein” (small) Bonaire, an island off the west coast, is 1500 acres. 0 miles (80 Km) north of Venezuela and 86 miles (94 Km) east of Aruba, well outside of the hurricane belt.
